Biography

He attended piano lessons with Maestro Stefano Vagnini for five years.

He graduated as an audio engineer and music producer at the S.A.E. Institute (School of Audio Engineering) in Milan.

He became interested in the world of electronics and added a new passion for synthesizers and digital sequencers alongside piano.

In 1999 he started his activity as songwriter and producer.

In 2000 he produced the international hit "Vivre la Vie" for KELLY JOYCE (which reached at No. 1 in the Italian, Belgian, and Swiss charts, and was at No. 5 in the French chart). Subsequently he composes, performs and programs many of the tracks of the same artist’s album.

In 2004 he wrote the single "Italian love song" (top 10 in Australia) for the international artist TINA ARENA, which introduces the release (in Europe and Australia) of the Greatest Hits (2004) by the same artist.

He wrote the single "Viens jusq'à moi", which enters the French top 10, for ELODIE FREGE’, winner of “Star Academy” in France.

He wrote the single "Ecris l'histoire" for French artist GREGORY LEMARCHAL. (The single held a place in the French top 5 for several weeks, including No. 1).

He wrote the single "Ouvre-moi le ciel" for Canadian artist MARIO PELCHAT (The song reached No. 1 in the charts in Québec).

He wrote two songs for the album of French artist FLORENT PAGNY (Finché pace non avrò, The day we made God cry). This latest album has sold over 1,000,000 copies to date.

He wrote the song "S.O.S." for the Chinese market sung by the famous artist JOEY YUNG, the song was also synced in several ads.

He wrote 5 songs for SYLVIE VARTAN that would later be part of her album (including "Give me a reason", "La neige en ete", "Tu sei dentro di me", "Ovre moi le ciel"). He joins the artist on her tour in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Bulgaria and Japan, as her keyboard player.

In 2009 he wrote and arranged two songs for Filippo Neviani, aka NEK. One of the two, "La voglia che non vorrei", became the first single of the album "Un’altra direzione" (2009) by the same artist. The second song, "Un’ora in più", entered the same album. Both songs were then translated into Spanish for the Iberian and South American markets.

In 2010 he composed and arranged three songs for FRANCESCO RENGA (2010). The songs "Immune", "Da lontano" and "Senza amore" are featured in the album "Un Giorno Bellissimo".

In 2012 he wrote the music for the song "Parlami", for the MARCO CARTA’s highly anticipated album (2012).

In 2013 he entered the 63rd San Remo Festival as an author with two different songs: “L’essenziale”, sung by MARCO MENGONI "L’essenziale", written together with Roberto Casalino, and “Sotto casa”, sung by MAX GAZZE’, written in collaboration with Francesco Gazzè. The song "L’essenziale" would then be proclaimed that year’s winner of the Festival and proceed to be at the top of both sales and radio charts for several weeks, stationing firmly at No. 1. "Sotto casa" also became a smash hit in the playlists of the most important Italian radio stations.

Shortly after he wrote the song “Luce”, performed by SILVIA CAPASSO during the final of the talent show "THE VOICE OF ITALY", broadcast on RAI DUE.

In 2014, together with Max Pezzali and Fortunato Zampaglione, he penned the single "Odiare", the first song that marks the return to the scene of SYRIA.

In 2015 the musical phenomenon LES PRETRES, a French band, decided to reinterpret one of his successful songs (“Ecris l'histoire”) for album "AMEN", which will then become a double platinum album.

In September the same year Francesco, with the Gazzè brothers and Antonio Toni wrote and produced the MAX GAZZÈ’s new hit single “La vita com’è". In a short time the single became a radio hit and reached platinum status. He also wrote and produced the artist’s following singles "Ti sembra normale" (platinum record), "Teresa" and "Un uomo diverso", while the album "Maximilian" became a gold record.

In early September 2016 together with Antonio Toni he wrote and produced the new single “Blanc ou noire” for the well-known Moroccan youtuber BOUCHRA.

In 2017 he founded the electronic pop duo MONTECHRISTO with Antonio Toni and released the single "Freaky Generation" supported by the innovative label Nameless Records and Universal Music. The single had an international release. Shortly thereafter they signed a contract for the production of a full album.

In April he collaborated as an author and producer with ILARIA PORCEDDU on her new album “Di questo parlo io”. He penned three songs, among which the first single, “Sette cose” (written together with A. Toni), “Eva si fa fare” (with F. Gazzè) and the duet with Max Gazzè “Tu non hai capito” (written with A. Ciuffetti and F. Gazzè).

In 2018 he took once again part in the 68th Festival di Sanremo as a composer for the artist Max Gazzè, with the song "The legend of Cristalda and Pizzomunno", written together with the performer himself and his brother Francesco Gazzè. The song won the prestigious "Giancarlo Bigazzi" award for Best Musical Composition.

In February the album "Alchemaya”, Max Gazzè's more “symphonic” album, was released. The album contains, in addition to the aforementioned single from Sanremo, the orchestral version of the three previous singles "Ti sembra normale", "La vita com’è" and "Sotto casa".

In 2020 he wrote the single "Amore a lieto fine" together with Dario Faini and Roberto Casalino, performed by GIULIA MOLINO, finalist of the TV program “Amici 2020” and included in her debut EP, "Va tutto bene".

In 2021 he took part again in the 71st Festival di Sanremo with Max Gazzè’s "The Pharmacist", written together with Max and Francesco Gazzè. During the summer of the same year he composes the hit "Il vero amore" performed by Max Gazzé and Greta Zuccoli.

Francesco is currently working at his studio "Naïve Recording Studio" as an author, producer and arranger, continuing his partnerships with artists and record companies.
